6.4.8 Validating SecureUPDATE file
Validating (verifying) SecureUPDATE file(s)
To validate a SecureUPDATE file is to verify the encrypted digital signature information attached to SecureUPDATE (SecureDELTA or XtremeDELTA) 's header
To validate a SecureUPDATE file, the steps are:
a) Edit, Drag and Drop or select from the ComboBox a SecureUPDATE file (SecureDELTA or XtremeDELTA file)
b) Assuming the SecureUPDATE is signed, you will immediately notice the following status text: "...file is already signed".
The Verify button is also shown:
c) Once pressed, the Verify operation launches the algorithmic verification of the file signature, by decrypting and validating the information and following the steps described here.
The result is immediately displayed in the GUI and the status text updates to "Successfully verified..."
