6.6.13 Executing SecurePATCH - part 2


  Executing the SecurePATCH file - part 2:

 

When launched...


...all main events of the installer get recorded into a log file called SecureDELTA_Patch_Installer.log


The log file will be create in the same folder location with the source file and its content will be updated.

The file is always updated, never deleted by the Installer. Therefore, it will contain all the logged information from all the performed SW updates in that folder.



The log file logs important KEY actions and ERRORS like:


      • Pre-checks of the SecureSFX Self-Extracting Installer integrity
      • Fingerprint check of the payload (the SecureUPDATE file it contains)
      • Other validity check of the SecureEXE Self-Extracting Installer
      • Disk free space
      • Adler check on source file
